The area’s nature and geology determine:

  1. Location: The injectors and compression will need to be near/above the reservoir. Transport to this area will need to be constructed.
  2. Size: The ultimate storage potential will be dictated by the gross volumetric dimensions and porosity/ properties of the reservoir.
  3. Rate: CO2 injection into the subsurface at a pace determined by the permeability of the reservoir times injectors.
