About the Role

GLJ is looking for a Jr. Engineer to join our dynamic team.

As a Jr. Engineer you will collaborate directly with Senior Engineers, Geoscientists and business professionals in a diverse range of Energy projects including oil and gas reserves evaluations. These projects and evaluations are crucial to support corporate financing or property transactions in the industry. This is a great opportunity to work with a collaborative team that takes pride in delivering successful outcomes for our clients. Key components include:

  • Analysis of production data and decline curve analysis
  • Material balance and volumetric estimates
  • Development planning and scenario modelling
  • Economic analysis, reserves evaluations and techno-economic studies
  • Data analytics and visualizations
  • Client and project management

Your Qualifications

Consideration will only be given to applicants with a BSc. in Engineering with APEGA status (P.Eng or EIT status) who are legally able to work in Canada.

  • Up to 5 years of experience in a petroleum/reservoir/production engineering role
  • Degree in Petroleum, Energy, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering preferred
  • Working knowledge of related disciplines geology, production, drilling / completions and facilities engineering
  • Experience in data analytics and visualization methods / software would be an asset (ie.Tableau, Power BI/Spotfire, Python, ML)
  • Proficient in industry software ie. Accumap/Geoscout, Mosaic and Value Navigator, Kappa, IHS
  • Experience in economic analysis, techno-economic studies and reserves considered an asset
