Our multidisciplinary hydrogen team includes engineering, geoscience and business strategy expertise. We have formed strategic partnerships with firms specializing in facilities and process design, allowing us to provide access to an integrated project team capable of solving challenges across the entire hydrogen value chain.

As demand for batteries for electric vehicles increases, the need for lithium production increases, with a focus on greener options such as production from Lithium brine instead of hard rock mining. Lithium Brine Developments are an excellent opportunity to leverage geothermal resources or to revitalize depleted oil & gas developments. These developments are also a part of Canada’s Critical Minerals Strategy.
The extraction technologies for this valuable resource are evolving quickly and companies are securing their mineral rights and working towards pilot and commercial projects. The GLJ Team has been working with Canadian and International clients for several years on these initiatives, providing insight from early stage scoping to Development & Production Plans. Areas of Interest for Lithium Development. GLJ has compiled a lithium concentration database that began in Western Canada and growing continually as more information becomes available which enables our clients to identify areas with potential for lithium development.
Feasibility Studies. Our team can collaborate with your team to develop Strategies, Technical Validation, Economic Models, and a Reporting Framework to assess your Lithium potential.
Technology Reviews. GLJ investigates and assesses the viability of existing and emerging technologies, scoring each on their technical and economic merits.
Regulatory Education. In the form of lunch & learns or hands on workshops, GLJ can inform your team on the government requirements that will impact your potential plans for Lithium Development.
Reservoir Modelling. GLJ has expertise in geologic and reservoir models which define the extent of the mineral resource.
Development Plans. Project design planning for pilots or full commercial development including well spacing plans, well cost estimation, and economic analysis of multiple scenarios.
Lithium Resources and Reserves Estimates. GLJ leverages their evaluation knowledge to develop and disclose lithium resource and reserve estimates. Helium is a valuable resource with a finite supply. This lighter than air element has many practical uses due to its unique properties, and it will continue to be in demand for years to come.
We have evaluated reservoirs across North America where the primary revenue stream is helium rather than hydrocarbons. These projects rely on much of the same engineering and geological expertise needed for the evaluation of a conventional hydrocarbon gas reservoir.
