Awareness and Transparency Key to Gender Diversity on Oil & Gas Corporate Boards

Women on the corporate boards of oil and gas companies remain vastly outnumbered to men, according to a report released by the Canadian Securities Administration (CSA). But, as Caralyn Bennett sees it, progress is being made.

In a recent interview with the Daily Oil Bulletin, Caralyn said that although the path will be different for all companies, increasing the awareness and transparency around gender diversity is key:


“Simple concepts, such as term limits on board positions, have opened the door for more women to step into board roles. While there remains room for improvement, there has been a marked shift specifically in the STEM industries and it has been a personal pleasure to see many highly qualified women, colleagues, securing these leadership positions.”
