This position offers ongoing exposure to exploration and development projects from around the globe. You will work as part of a team assessing petroleum initially-in-place, reserves and resources for established, leading and emerging public and private companies. The projects you undertake will include the appraisal of leads and prospects and the evaluation of undeveloped, developing and mature oil and gas fields. You will apply your strengths in petrophysical analysis, preparation and critical analysis of geo-models, use of probabilistic and deterministic methodologies and assessment of reservoir uncertainties and geological risk.   

This is a senior position on our Geosciences team with potential for advancement within our organization.

Your Credentials and Aptitudes

• A Bachelor of Science degree in Geology with eligibility for an APEGGA professional designation at a minimum
• Greater than 10 years of geosciences experience including both clastic and carbonate reservoirs  
• Greater than 5 years of international experience including the appraisal of play concepts and the assessment of reservoir uncertainties and exploration risk
• A superior understanding of exploration and development geology
• Solid mapping and petrophysical skills; experience with 3D geo-modeling using Petrel an asset
• A positive, proactive attitude and proven ability to solve problems as part of a technical team
• Excellent time management and project coordination skills
• Mentoring and supervisory experience
• Proficiency with written and verbal presentations
• Multiple languages and the ability to travel an asset 
• Strong computer and applications software literacy
• Experience applying reserves and resource definitions as defined in COGEH and SPE-PRMS
